چکیده
Abstract Background To evaluate clinical outcomes after full-thickness astigmatic keratotomy (FTAK) combined with small-incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) in eyes high astigmatism. Methods This study comprised 75 of 43 patients over 4.0 diopters (D) astigmatism who were treated SMILE FTAK. Visual acuities and refractive measurements evaluated at 1 month FTAK, 1, 6, 12, 24 months SMILE. Vector analysis the changes was performed using Alpins method. Results Twenty-four procedure, average spherical equivalent reduced from − 6.56 ± 2.38 D to 0.36 0.42 ( p < 0.001). The uncorrected corrected distance visual improved 1.54 5.53 0.02 0.09 0.03 0.07 0.08 (both 0.001), respectively. preoperative mean 5.48 1.17 D, which 2.27 0.97 0.34 0.26 FTAK SMILE, respectively surgically-induced 3.38 1.18 2.22 0.84 5.39 1.20 Furthermore, correction index 0.63 0.17, 0.90 0.40, 0.98 0.06, There no intraoperative or postoperative complications. Conclusion Our surgical procedure combining showed good stable during two-year follow-up for treatment

Comparison of Astigmatic Correction after Femtosecond Lenticule Extraction and Small-Incision Lenticule Extraction for Myopic Astigmatism
PURPOSE To compare postoperative astigmatic correction between femtosecond lenticule extraction (FLEx) and small-incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) in eyes with myopic astigmatism. METHODS We examined 26 eyes of 26 patients undergoing FLEx and 26 eyes of 26 patients undergoing SMILE to correct myopic astigmatism (manifest astigmatism of 1 diopter (D) or more). Visual acuity, cylindrical re...

PURPOSE To evaluate the outcome after small incision refractive lenticule extraction (SMILE) in patients with myopic astigmatism. METHODS Seven hundred seventy-five eyes from 403 patients with myopia treated with SMILE for a cylinder of 0.75 diopters (D) or more were identified from patient records. Six hundred sixty-nine eyes were defined as receiving low (< 2.5 D) and 106 eyes as receiving ...
متن کاملSmall Incision Lenticule Extraction for Postkeratoplasty Myopia and Astigmatism
Purpose. To evaluate the visual and refractive outcomes after small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) for treating myopia and myopic astigmatism after penetrating keratoplasty (PKP). Design. Case-series. Methods. Ten eyes of 10 patients with previous PKP and residual myopic astigmatism for whom pentacam imaging and thickness measurements were acceptable for laser vision correction. Manifest...
متن کاملEffect of location of opening incision on astigmatic correction after small-incision lenticule extraction
We compared the visual and refractive outcomes between 2 different incisional sites in small incision lenticule extraction (SMILE) for low myopic astigmatism. This was a contralateral eye study. Consecutive cases that underwent bilateral SMILE surgery were included. Procedures for both eyes were identical apart from the location of opening incision. The incision was set on the temporal side for...

To evaluate the refractive outcomes of balanced salt solution infiltration during small-incision lenticule extraction (SMILE).This randomized prospective study enrolled 52 patients (104 eyes) with myopic astigmatism. Patients underwent SMILE to correct the myopic astigmatism in Daping Hospital of the Third Military Medical University between January and July 2013. One eye of each patient receiv...
